2015 has been a landmark year for Sové Lavi
Dear Friends of Sové Lavi (Saving Lives),
2015 has been a landmark year for Sové Lavi (Saving Lives). In January, we celebrated our 15th anniversary of serving the poor in Haiti with health care, education, and potable water. Because of your support, prayers, talents and financial contributions, thousands of poor Haitians have health, skills, hopes and dreams for a better future.
This week, we are hosting our fifth eye care mission with VOSH (Voluntary Optometrists Serving Humanity). Hundreds of people will have the gift of sight by week end.
And on Saturday, May 23, 2015, the medical clinic will reopen as an HMO model for Haiti. This model was created with input from community leaders in Pont Sondé, Haiti, along with the vision and dedication of our Board of Directors, led by Dr. Emmanuel Francois. For a small monthly fee, HMO participants will receive unlimited access to healthcare. Those requiring medical care who do not have the means to pay will still be helped.
The clinic will still operate as a non-profit; however, within four months of operation, we anticipate the monthly HMO participant fees will cover clinic expenses. To assist with start-up costs, we are seeking donations of $12,000 to fund the first four months of operation.
This is a wonderful opportunity to make a tax-deductible donation for a benevolent cause that will soon be self-funding. If you wish to contribute, you can donate online through PayPal or a check, payable to Sové Lavi, can be mailed to:
401 N. Carroll, Box 124, Southlake, TX 76092.
We are deeply grateful for your continued support. May you be blessed in abundance as you are blessing the poor of Haiti.
