Hurricane Matthew – You Can Sponsor a Child’s Education for $155

Hurricane Matthew has left much devastation in Haiti. Although the communities we work with in Haiti were not a direct hit, they did experience high winds which destroyed the crops of many farmers in the Artibonite Valley. Many of the families now are unable to send their children to school.

A donation of $155 will support a one-year educational scholarship for a child attending Ecole Sacré Coeur, an elementary school in Pont Sondé, Haiti.

To date, the Rotary Club of Sunnyvale, California, VOSH-PA (Volunteer Optometrists Supporting Humanity) and many other friends have donated 40 scholarships for the school year 2016/2017. For these donors ongoing support, we are so very grateful.

These families can now rebuild their farms, and the children have hope for a better future.

One hundred percent of your donation goes toward the child’s scholarship. You will receive confirmation from the school through Sové Lavi that the child has received the scholarship. Sové Lavi is a 501c3 organization, thus your donation is tax deductible.

With a donation of $155 you, too, can give hope and change lives in Haiti.

We invite you to join us.

In deepest gratitude,
Kimberly K. Petersen Siméus
